About this Practice
This website is operated by Ponder and Pause Therapy, a private psychotherapy practice. The data controller for information collected through this website is the practitioner operating under that name.
The practice is registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) as required under UK data protection law.
Information collected
This website collects only the minimum information necessary to operate effectively. It does not use advertising, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics tools that profile visitors.
The types of information that may be collected are:
- Information you provide voluntarily — such as your name, email address and any message you submit through the contact form.
- Technical information — such as your IP address, browser type and approximate location, which may be recorded in server logs by your hosting provider as standard practice. This is not actively collected or reviewed by us.
This website does not use Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or any other behavioural tracking tool. No personal data is sold, rented or shared with any third party for marketing purposes.
Contact form data
When you submit the enquiry form on this website, your message is processed and delivered via Formspree (formspree.io), a third-party form handling service. The information you submit — your name, email address, session preference and any message — is transmitted to Formspree's servers and forwarded to my email inbox.
Formspree processes this data on our behalf and operates in accordance with their own privacy policy, available at formspree.io/legal/privacy-policy. Formspree is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
The lawful basis for processing enquiry form data is legitimate interests — specifically, responding to a direct request for information made by you. Your data will not be used for any purpose other than responding to your enquiry.
Cookies
This website does not use any tracking, advertising or analytics cookies. It does not set any first-party cookies.
The Google Fonts service is used to load typography on this website. Google Fonts may set a short-lived cookie or log your IP address as a standard part of delivering font files over their CDN. This is a technical necessity and not used for tracking or advertising. For more information, see Google's Fonts privacy information.
No cookie consent banner is displayed on this site because no cookies are set that require your consent under UK GDPR or the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
Third parties
This website uses the following third-party services in limited and specific ways:
- Google Fonts — delivers typefaces used on this website. No personal data is shared with Google for advertising or profiling purposes through this integration.
- Formspree — processes contact form submissions as described above.
No social media tracking scripts, advertising networks, or analytics platforms are connected to this website.

Enquiries that do not lead to a therapeutic relationship are deleted within six months.
No other personal data collected through the normal use of this website is retained.
